Generated
Developed.
I design digital products and I shoot on film.
Film has a name for the moment you press the shutter: the latent image. The picture is already sitting there on the negative, you just can't see it yet. Developing doesn't invent it. It reveals it.
Products work the same way. The answer is already in what people do. Design is the developer.
Nine years of this now, across UX research and UX design. Qualitative for the why, quantitative for the proof at scale. I run the studies and I create the user experience.

The unicorn thing
I'm a product designer with nine years of experience across B2B and B2C: SaaS data platforms, e-commerce, financial data and, lately, AI products. UX research and UX design, side by side: qualitative when I need to know why, quantitative when I need the pattern at scale. The unicorn part: I run my own studies. I don't hand a brief to someone else and wait. I talk to the people who'll use the thing, then I design it.
Right now I'm working out what good design looks like when the product is AI-powered. How do you design something people can actually trust? Mostly it comes down to showing your work: where the answer came from, how sure the thing is, what to do when it's wrong.
Off the clock I do haptic things: analogue photography, punch needling, lino printing, hybrid training, and going to far too many concerts.

My master's is in Customer Relationship Management: marketing and IT. My certifications are in graphic design and UX/UI design. That's the unicorn story.
I'm a certified Mental Health First Responder. My empathy doesn't only help me in interviews.
My cats have (secretly) sat in on more user interviews than most stakeholders. They have opinions. About snacks and cuddles.
I develop my own film. Two weeks or more of not knowing whether it worked: good practice for shipping.

What others say
Her organization, collaboration [with product leadership, UX and voice of the customer], and dedication to the project helped us gain more insights into our users' experience than we've been able to capture in previous iterations.
She really made this role her own and quickly identified where to focus her efforts to make the biggest impact: confidently planning and facilitating large workshops, and synthesising the insights to turn them into actions.
Driven by a true passion for finding the right problem statement within the UX lifecycle, and tackling it with high expertise. A gain for every team with her positive spirit and energy.
… for consistently being two steps ahead whenever you take on a project. Your ability to focus on the right problem to solve, and thoughtfully determine the best way to solve it, is truly inspiring.
